Neutralitetartikelns neutralitet ifrågasatt
Jag snubblade över en tokrolig passage på Wikipedia i artikeln om Sveriges neutralitet. På knagglig engelska försöker folkhemska storsvenskar tuta i omvärlden att Sverige, tack vare sin neutralitet, kunde gå genom andra världskriget med rak rygg och rent samvete.

There were also refugees from the Baltic nations and the other Scandinavian countries. Nearly all of Denmark’s Jewish population was able to escape to Sweden on fishing boats in a coordinated effort by the Danish people and the Swedes who gave them shelter on the other side. Also, Sweden’s neutral stance allowed Swedish diplomats access to Germany, allowing for espionage which benefitted the Swedish intellegence as well as the Allies. Most notable among these were Raoul Wallenberg and Count Folke Bernadotte, who saved over 100,000 European Jews from the concentration camps. Also, Sweden’s King Gustav V attempted to negotiate with Hitler for a more humane treatment of the Jews.
Hrm… Hur var det nu med J-stämplarna i passen? Eller Bernadottes vita bussar som hjälpte SS med fångtransporter och dumpade judar, fransmän och ryssar i utbyte mot renrasigt nordiska fångar? Protesterna mot den så kallade judeimporten under 30-talet? Att Sverige tillämpade Nürnberglagarna och stoppade blandäktenskap? Mein lieber Reichskanzler? Eller för den delen, permittenttrafiken, avvisningarna av tyska desertörer och den profitabla järnexporten till Hitlertyskland?
Där finns, milt sagt, ett och annat att lägga tillrätta. Nå, charmen med Wikipedia (jämfört med till exempel NE) är att den som vill och orkar kan städa upp i artiklar som denna. Tills storsvenskarna slår tillbaka, vill säga.
Jimbo Wales, mannen bakom Wikipedia, är troende randiansk objektivist. Ironiskt nog visar just Wikipedia varför en sådan kunskapssyn inte riktigt funkar. Wikipedia är en social verklighet som vilken annan och genererar som sådan per automatik politiska konflikter, som Jason Scott konstaterade i föredraget The great failure of Wikipedia i våras:
”What Wikipedia has taught us now, is that in a vacuum of politics, politics will be created. There is no vacuum of politics.”
